Oaktown Art Map

This map documents the more permanent art installations I’m covering in this blog (murals, sculptures, buildings, etc.), and not more temporary works such as stickers. It’s is a work in progress. Check back as my geek factor grows!

People have asked me for a map of Oakland murals for years. Looks like you’ve already got one started. I’m definitely down to contribute tons of locations so that we can help to build a thorough list of the public murals. Please contact me @ CommunityRejuvenationProject@Gmail.com

What about the historic graffiti along 580 from Lakeshore to Park Blvd.?

Can you be more specific? Are you referring to graffiti, or a mural? And where exactly? I have lots of stuff I haven’t posted yet. I add them to the map as I write about them, but I’m always looking for more suggestions. Send more info please…

Don’t forget to include Era Art Bar on your map. They are on Grand @ Broadway in the heart of the art murmur walk.
They feature rotating local artists monthly and wednesdays during happy hour they have a sketch-up event where artists can come in and create art in the bar and sell it!

      Hey Tina,
Thanks for the suggestion. I dig Era and do plan to do a post on them sometime soon, but the map (for now) really highlights things that people can’t find otherwise. Restaurants, Bars, Galleries, etc all have their own websites with addresses & maps easily accessible on Google.
      Cheers!
